MEET ANTHONY THOMPSON - COACH. LEADER. NEIGHBOR.
Raised in Chicago by a single mother of fifteen, I learned early the values of hard work, teamwork, and faith. From delivering flyers at age 11 to eventually becoming Executive Vice President of Operations at a global aerospace company, my journey has been one of perseverance, personal growth, and unwavering integrity.
In 2007, I moved to Simi Valley to take on a challenge — to help close a struggling business. But once I got to know the employees, I realized the problem wasn’t the people; it was a lack of leadership. Working together, we turned the company around, saved 275 local jobs, and reinforced my belief in the power of collaboration and accountability. That experience inspired my commitment to community-driven leadership.
Simi Valley is more than just my home — it's where my wife Michelle and I are raising our three sons: Anthony Jr., Jordan, and Jaden, who currently plays quarterback for Simi Valley High School. Through years of coaching youth sports, volunteering, and mentoring, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know families across our community and seeing firsthand what makes District 1 special.
As a candidate for City Council, my focus is clear:

I’m not a career politician. I’m a coach, a father, a community advocate — and someone who believes that real progress comes from listening, leading with integrity, and working together.
District 1 deserves leadership that reflects its values. I’m ready to serve — and I’m asking for your support.
